Service Description

Two-Tone Step Bezel Jewelry Making Class Join us for a hands-on jewelry class where you'll learn how to create a stunning two-tone step bezel setting! This intermediate-level class is perfect for students with some metalworking experience who want to expand their stone-setting skills. You'll explore building a step bezel using mixed metals, typically sterling silver and gold-filled or brass, for a professional, high-contrast look that makes your stone pop. In this class, you'll: *Design and fabricate a custom bezel for a cabochon or faceted stone *Learn how to measure, saw, solder, and shape step bezels using two different metals *Gain confidence with soldering techniques and metal finishing *Walk away with a beautiful finished pendant or ring! All tools and materials are provided, and you'll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry and new skills to elevate your craftsmanship. Why Learn the Bezel Setting Technique? 1. Bezels are the most secure setting. With a bezel set ring, you don’t need to worry so much about a busy day's little bumps and jolts. The metal frame protects the fragile girdle of your stone from all sides, so knock it around a little. That stone is not going anywhere. 2. Bezels are the lowest profile setting. While prong settings are as low profile as they can go, the reality is that they still stick up some. It’s what they’re designed to do. You just can’t be too hard on them. In contrast, bezel settings ride low and secure on your finger, protected from all sides, and won’t get caught or snagged. Class minimum is 2, maximum is 4. This will be a 5 to 6-hour class.
